Mage AI develops an AI-enabled data and workflow orchestration platform with OAuth sessions, repository management and interactive terminals. Its October 2026 security changes illustrate why those subsystems need separate trust boundaries. PR #6204 addresses identity validation before session issuance; #6205 addresses Git arguments interpreted by a shell; #6207 addresses failed repository role checks. All three were merged in source on October 16. The independent terminal WebSocket output fix, PR #6206, was still open at inspection, and a source merge is not proof of a packaged fixed release. These conventional application weaknesses matter here because an AI workflow platform combines code, data, credentials and execution permissions; they are not evidence that a model caused the vulnerable code paths.
