NVIDIA described its Sentry architecture around BlueField-4 DPUs, DOCA Tower traffic inspection, DOCA Argus runtime visibility and independently enforced agent policy in October 2026. Broader availability was planned for 2027 rather than confirmed at report time.
The Sentry design seeks to place enforcement outside the software trust domain of the agent host. BlueField hardware, DOCA Tower traffic handling and DOCA Argus execution visibility serve different purposes and cannot substitute for an actual permitted-effect policy. The architecture promises rapid containment, but its October 2026 technical announcement is not evidence that all local actions, tool calls or production tenants were independently tested.
