Record description

Cloudflare published direct technical incident guidance on the October 2026 eMudhra intermediate certificate failures and a WebMCP integration with Commerce.com that exposes shopping tools in browser sessions. These are unrelated events with different security implications and publication timelines.

For AI-agent security, Cloudflare's role differs between the two scoped sources. In the WebMCP work it operates an edge bridge to merchant-defined browser tools while merchants retain the final checkout and per-store opt-out. In its certificate investigation it acts as an infrastructure observer and trust-policy participant, where a client's accepted intermediate CA can affect the authenticity of any service, including an AI agent's outbound endpoint. There is no evidence that the certificate incident was caused by WebMCP or that either source measured agent-caused compromises. Commerce.com integration; certificate research.
