Supabase
Backend platform whose database authorization policies are central to the Lovable RLS disclosure.
Record description
Supabase supplied the backend storage and authentication used by the applications examined in the Lovable disclosure. Its documentation distinguishes unauthenticated requests from authenticated users and describes row policies that constrain database operations. In that architecture, browser-visible credentials do not themselves establish whether a caller is authorized to access a particular row.
This makes Supabase relevant as the provider of the enforcement mechanism, not as a demonstrated victim of a platform-wide breach. The reported failure concerned application-level policy configuration. Correct read restrictions also do not automatically prove that insertion, modification and deletion obey the intended rules.
