Escape

Security testing vendor that studied exposed backends, secrets and personal information in public vibe-coded applications.

Record description

Escape published a methodology for discovering and testing publicly reachable applications produced with vibe-coding platforms. Its workflow combined application discovery, attack-surface mapping and security testing, giving the research a deployment-facing perspective rather than the task-based perspective of a coding benchmark.

The study documents a one-time collection process and an uneven sample weighted toward Lovable. Its findings support the existence of repeated authorization and information-exposure problems in that sample, not a universal vulnerability rate or a fair ranking of all represented platforms. Escape is both the research publisher and the provider of the scanners used in the investigation.
