Record description

Claude Code is Anthropic's coding-agent software, which interprets repository instructions and calls tools through application-enforced permission modes. Its release files can include client-side orchestration logic; its local histories, configuration and memory are separate operator-owned assets. In March 2026 an accidental public release exposed client source through a debug-related artifact. In October 2026 CrowdStrike found Claude Code histories on infrastructure it attributed to a threat actor using ARTEX. These were separate exposures under different operational control, and neither established theft of Claude model parameters or a compromise of Anthropic customer sessions.
